Worship and Prayer

...at St Mary's

Sunday Worship

  • 8.00am Holy Communion. This is held at St Mary's on the second and fourth Sunday. This is a quieter service and is based on the Book of Common Prayer and is usually held in the Chancel

  • 9.30am Holy Communion (1st, 2nd, 3rd Sundays) This is an easy to follow service using printed orders of service and lasting about an hour. We seek to combine the best of favourite traditional hymns and modern worship music to provide something for all tastes. Our Ministers are present at the services and occasionally we welcome a variety of visiting Local Preachers to join with us.

  • The fourth Sunday is Morning Worship using printed orders of service based on Anglican Common Worship.

Worship singing group

This small group meets monthly to learn new songs, practice unfamiliar ones and ultimately to worship. We often have a short reflection and prayer time. Light refreshments are available to help us hit the right notes! New people always welcome.

Mid-week worship/prayer

Each Tuesday morning there is a half-hour service of Morning Prayer, to which all are welcome. The service is based on the Common Worship order for daily prayer, with time to remember individuals and particular needs. It starts at 9.30am
